Finals are coming up for me and Daniel and you know what that means....madd projects are ahead of us. One of them is a book that each of us have been designing this semester. On top of designing the entire book we have to bind it also. Now what does all of this have to do with BES07? Well! Daniel, our friend Mary, and I all got together and decided that yesterday would be the official Binding Extravaganza Saturday 2007 aka BES07. Yeah, I know you all wanted to be there with us as we bound our books.

Here is me and Daniel next to our awesome book blocks aka the actual pages in our books not including the covers, all glued up. We had to stack heavy things on them as our books dried.


Daniel and I used a guilloteen cutter at our design lab but as for our friend Mary....well...lets just say her hands must be sore today. I have no idea what she is looking at by the way.


If any of you guys know the process of hand binding a book, you would know that it takes a long time for the glue to dry. While we were waiting for it, Daniel and I took advantage of the time and worked on our motion graphics project. Yeah, we are pretty studious.


Alright, I got to be honest, our diligence didn't last that long. Mary busted out the Sega Genesis and of course WE CAN'T DENY THE SEGA!


We played Road Rash


and the best game ever created....NBA JAM!


BES07 fulfilled every expectation of mine and then some. Thanks Mary for letting us hold this great event at your place and thank you SEGA! Just in case you guys really cared, we bound our books and everything worked out. Remember, Winter Collection is coming out soon! Until next time,

My great apologies for having been M.I.A. for awhile on this blog. It's been maddness here at the baroke headquarters. The winter line is coming out soon and finals is well on its way. But of course, that will not hold us down!

Speaking of M.I.A., us baroke kids got the chance to see her and the Cool Kids last week. Unfortunately, it was held at the house of blues and those of you who know, they do not allow cameras in there. Luckily, we got cell phones with cameras on them. I apologize now for the quality of the photos.

The Cool Kids opened with their usual dopeness with VIPJ. Although we here at baroke are huge supporters of the Cool Kids, M.I.A. seriously stole the show. She started with this crazy asian cat screaming on the screen about politics and then she came out with her bling'd out gear rockin' the show. So much maddness within one confined space.

This show topped off all the shows I have been to this past year. Despite the fact that there were numerous fights going on around us, this was a great concert. M.I.A. is maddddd sickkkkkk. Wait, I take it back. She is beyond sick! It seriously took me a few days to recover from the intensity of that show. And to this day, I am still randomly saying..."I LOVE M.I.A." Well, enough of my blabbing about how great she is, GO AND SEE HER FOR YOURSELF!
